kilt inspired skirt (finished)

It's done my friends! What do you think?














as you can see in these pictures, the pleated skirt is attached to the yoke with a raw edge



I definitely had some fun twirling around in this skirt, and It just made me feel so... celtic :)

Wow, that is really gorgeous!! When I looked at the first picture I thought you had just used the magazine picture again- I was wondering if you were going to post pics of the one you made, or just the magazine!! Ali, absolutely fantastic job on the skirt. I know you must be thrilled with it.

I don't think I would have left the unfinished edge exposed on the pleated skirt part, I would have put that bit beneath the yoke. To me it gives the skirt a bit of a post-industrial kind of look. But that may have been what you were going for! :-)

I love the photography, too. Some of these look like they could have been professional catalog photos. Be on the lookout for the modelling companies to be calling you!
